263	Forest Ecosystems - Cameroon	A National Workshop on the Underlying Causes of Deforestation, which successfully brought together 32 institutions, including community- based organizations, national and international NGOs, and government institutions s like the Ministry of Forest and Fauna s in a series of workshops. In 2008, Cameroon hosted a National Workshop on the Underlying Causes of Deforestation, which successfully brought together 32 institutions, including community- based organizations, national and international NGOs, and government institutions s like the Ministry of Forest and Fauna s in a series of workshops. In bringing these stakeholders together, a nuanced set of commitments was reached that reflect the needs of the multiple participants involved. In these workshops, in-depth case studies of different forest ecosystems in the country were selected for review. The results of these studies, and the ensuing discussions, debates, and recommendations for further action, were made available to a wider audience. A publication of the project reports and recommendations was also called for, along with advocacy activities to help shift towards more sustainable management of different ecosystems in Cameroon. 273	Enhancing Patient Rights - Bosnia	BOSPO association officially opened info desks in health institutions in Tuzla and Sarajevo. On info desks patients will be able to get all necessary information important for accomplishment of their rights, directions to the responsible institutions and persons who work in authority institutions, support in fulfilling forms and requests for checking or accomplishment of some right according to the existing laws and European charter about patients rights. The work of info desks will provide feedback to health institutions so that management of the health institution can take necessary steps to provide better services to patients. 279	Gender equity in schools - Bosnia	Improve gender relations and reducing gender inequality in education sector that largelly contribute to sustained gender inequalities in society in schools and elementary schools in Tuzla and Banovici, Bosnia and Herzegovina.	Aim of the project was to improve gender relations and reduce gender inequality in education sector that largelly contribute to sustained gender inequalities in society more broadly. It challenges the gender stereotypes and promotes education system sensitive to the issues of gender. After held 5 days of training for 85 participants of elementary schools of Banovici, Kalesija and Pazar, participants showed understanding of concept of gender equity, they familiriazed better with group facilitation methods, effective ways of advocating and lobbying and ways of media relations. According to that 3 action plans were created and implemented on basis of identified needs of every schools regarding promotion and integration of gender component: 1. Inclusion of both parents, with focus on fathers, in parents meetings and open door days s Elementary school of Banovici 2. Raising awareness of children, parents and teachers about gender equity s Elementary school of Pazar, Tuzla 3. Raising awareness of municipality of Kalesija about gender equity s Elementary school of Kalesija Parents, children and teachers throughout the project raised their awareness and understanding of gender on higher level. Now they possess adequate knowledge and have developed skills to identify existing gender inequities in educational sector and to competently and efficiently design and implement actions and advocacy efforts in order to create gender sensitive schools. 290	Lesbian and Gay Peer Research- UK	Research on healthy and unhealthy relationships and the affect abuse has in the lives of LGBTI youth in Manchester, UK.	Young people of Lesbian and Gay Youth Manchester designed and undertook a piece of research about a topic they highlighted as important to their community. The issue they chose to investigate was healthy and unhealthy relationships and the role of abuse in young LGBT peoples lives in a piece of research called Hows Your Relationship ICA:UK trained a group of young people to undertake this research, supported the project in action and worked with the group to generate findings and recommendations. 323	Reintegration of Youth at Risk in the region of Agboville in Cote d Ivoire	New method of teaching used by Teko in Russia. In this school the students themselves are their own teachers; everyone teaches as well as learns.	We made visits to the six villages in the Agneby region, (Agboville), who were selected for the implementation of the rehabilitation project of 360 youths, which covers vegetable cultivation, livestock and broiler management and agroforestry. ICA Japan in collaboration with ICA Ivory Coast want to have this project in operation this year. The delegation ended their visit conducting an exchange forum with Ivorian businessmen before their return to Japan. The forum focused on the opportunities of Japanese investors coming to Cote d Ivoire and what entrepreneur Ivorians must know, in order to have partner companies in Japan	Cote dIvoire

372	ICA Nigeria Aids	NIRADO set up a relationship with three Lagos High schools and implemented a program with five elements: a baseline survey to ascertain knowledge, attitudes, and beliefs; 57 students trained as peer educators; Health Club formed in each school led by the trained students; a plan of action at each school; and continued support for the young leaders with further education and leadership development.	In 2001, two million Nigerians were living with HIV, and in 2007 there were 2.4 million. (2008 Report on global AIDS epidemic.) Now the number is 2.6 million. The prevalence rate is relatively low at 3.1% compared to many countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, but Nigerias population is large and growing fast. The population is expected to double in the next 20 years, which will leave Nigeria with a large burden from HIV unless the prevalence rate is reduced. Although attendance at secondary school is only about 29%, Nigeria decided to target young people with prevention education and skills to try to reduce future impact. The national government agreed to a new high school HIV/AIDS curriculum, and between 2006 and 2008 NIRADO set up a relationship with three Lagos High schools and implemented a program with five elements: a baseline survey to ascertain knowledge, attitudes, and beliefs; 57 students trained as peer educators; Health Club formed in each school led by the trained students; a plan of action at each school; and continued support for the young leaders with further education and leadership development. 800 kids were in clubs and about 1500 benefited through sharing information. Current work is being implemented by Hannah Anighoro, Director of Esto Perpetua Development Initiative (EPDI) who is working with two Secondary Schools in Ikeja area of Lagos State.
